Our Timeline


Len, the driving force behind VeloBarZ, has been involved in Sports Nutrition for decades.

After spontaneous cook duties during bikepacking Estonia trip, Len’s penchant for an adventurous outdoor cooking was born – he put his newly-found skills to work since and never looked back!

He has planned, calculated, and prepared long-lasting nutritious meals for  Backcountry Skiing, Mountaineering, Backpacking, Kayaking expeditions and racing events. 


VeloBarZ iBook was a pre-cursor of the current site and has been around since 2012.

Stylistically, it was designed as a tribute to venerable Italian Fausto Coppi – Len’s aspiration, and Greg Lemond’s Z-Team (the origin of “Z’ in VeloBarZ). The title itself is a combination of “Velocity/Velocipede” referring both to speedy goodies’ manufacturing and cyclists’ audience,  and “Bar” like in energy bar.


VeloBarZ Website is a source of inspiration for all budding home cooking enthusiasts. Since the iBook creation, Len started exploring other avenues, including Baking, to inspire more advanced home chefs. Still Gluten-Free, Vegan, and 100% Healthy!
